Thank you Chelsie for opening your home to book club. We all had a great time discussing the book "The Hiding Place". It was such an inspiring book that we really had some great discussion about it.
The book for May is Snowflower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See. Rebecca Buffington will be hosting the book club for this month's book. Time and date TBA. I think we decided this last meeting that everyone would try to bring a friend if they can.

Ok, I'm posting my comment since I will not be at book club to discuss. Not sure if anyone will read this but I will put it out there. I didn't love this book...I didn't hate it either. It was just ok for me. I didn't start to get into it until the very end. I liked the relationship between Snowflower & Lily though it was a bit of a tragedy at the end. I was not a huge fan of the way it ended, but Lily turned out to be a strong woman in her own right considering that women were considered less than men. Which really bugs me that they felt that way back then, because men would not be here if not for women. You can't keep having sons, how would the world be populated. I'm so glad to be a woman in this country and at this time. Well that's my amateurs opinion of this book. I hope everyone else enjoyed it.
